What SnoreTrack records

While a session is running, the app listens through the microphone and analyses the sound on your phone to find snoring. It keeps a short recording, about 13 seconds, of the loudest snore in each 20 minute stretch of the night. Everything else it hears is analysed and discarded, never written to storage.

Where your data is kept

Audio clips, night summaries and graphs are stored in the app private area of your phone, where other apps cannot read them. Audio never leaves your phone. Backing up night summaries to an account, numbers and graphs only and still no audio, is built but switched off in this version.

Your account

Signing in uses Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication, which gives the app your Google account identifier and the email address on that account. It is used to identify you and nothing else. It is never sold, shared or used for advertising.

What is not collected

No advertising identifiers. No analytics or usage tracking. No location, contacts, photos or files. No third party receives your recordings or your sleep data.

Payments

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Google Play. The app is told only whether a subscription is active. It never sees your card or bank details.

Deleting your data

Delete a single recording from the Clips screen, or a whole night from Settings. Uninstalling the app removes every recording and every night from the phone permanently. Signing out leaves your recordings on the phone untouched.

Not a medical device

SnoreTrack measures sound. It cannot diagnose sleep apnoea or any other condition, and its numbers are not a medical result. Take anything that worries you to a doctor.
